What Can Bounty Hunters Not Do?

Bounty hunters are limited in what they can do and must abide by the laws of the state and country where they operate. In general, bounty hunters are not allowed to use excessive force, enter a residence without permission, or use illegal methods to apprehend a fugitive. They also cannot detain or arrest someone who is not the subject of a warrant, and they cannot represent themselves as law enforcement officers. Additionally, they cannot cross state lines without proper authorization or engage in activities that are not related to their duties as a bounty hunter.
