Can A Bounty Hunter Shoot You?

In general, bounty hunters are not authorized to use deadly force, and shooting a suspect is illegal without justification, even for a bounty hunter. However, the laws regarding the use of force by bounty hunters may vary by state, just check with local laws and regulations.  Bounty hunters must operate within the boundaries of the law and respect the rights of the suspects they are pursuing.

They are also subject to the same laws and regulations as ordinary citizens, and if they feel their life is in danger, they can defend themselves just like anyone else. If you pull a gun and point it at a bounty hunter, just like anyone else, they have the right to shoot to defend themselves.
